A holiday shopping guide, with head-to-head comparisons of six (yes, Virginia, six and counting) dedicated e-readers now on the market appears in the Thursday Dec 3 2009 New York Times. Ranging in price from the QVC Cool-er at $249 to the Kindle DX at $489, like lap top computers in retail competition, they mix and match important features such as weight, screen size and internet connectivity, as well as the title count of their virtual bookstores. Standardization of the technology seems even further away, albeit with this competition forcing consumer friendly evolution of the product.
